Gestingthorpe Village Hall

Gestingthorpe Village Hall

Built in 1856 as the village school for the princely sum of £156, the school closed in 1963 before reopening as the Village Hall and the centre for social activities in the village.

Resident Rachel Patten is running the 2026 London Marathon to raise funds for a new kitchen, essential when large social gatherings take place in the hall and a real draw for hirers wishing to use the building for their own celebrations.

Over the last 10 years, we have upgraded the decoration, toilets and replaced the roof - all paid for through generous donations and ceaseless fundraising by the committee.
