LawCare

Run the London Marathon for LawCare

We’re a small charity with a big impact. LawCare is the only mental health charity dedicated to supporting everyone working in the legal sector across the UK, Channel Islands and the Isle of Man. We offer free, confidential emotional support, peer support and information to anyone facing the pressures of life in law - from students and trainees to senior partners and judges.

But we don’t stop there. Through training, education and research, we help legal workplaces become healthier, safer places to work, where mental health is actively protected. We work with law schools, regulators, professional bodies, specialist groups and firms to reduce stigma and create real, lasting change across the profession.

Even with all this impact, LawCare operates on an annual income of under £500,000. That means every contribution genuinely counts:

• £800 trains a LawCare volunteer
£635 keeps our support service running for one day

By choosing to run for LawCare, you are not only taking on an incredible personal challenge; you are helping ensure that people in the legal profession have somewhere to turn when things get tough. Your fundraising directly supports our work and helps us continue providing vital, free support to those who uphold justice every day.

We are thrilled that Mark Evans, President of The Law Society of England and Wales, will be running for Team LawCare. Mark is a keen runners and the founder of LegalRunner, the running community for the legal sector, and we hope he will be joined by others who were successful in the ballot.
