There are over 88,000 children in the care system across England & Wales. This system intended to provide stability, is fast becoming a system in crisis, struggling to provide children with the support, care and tools they need to thrive. 

Time spent in care can be isolating, uninspiring and turbulent for children and young people. Every 20 minutes a child in care moves home.

At NYAS (The National Youth Advocacy Service), we are there for care experienced children and young people. 

We ensure that no child or young person is ever alone or voiceless in the care system, in the family court or where others are making decisions about their future that profoundly affect their lives. 

We are at the forefront of championing for children’s rights, leading on preventing and ending social injustice faced by care experienced children and young people, tirelessly campaigning to secure a world where children’s rights aren’t just recognised, but are celebrated!
