My Story

I’m raising money for It’s Never You, a charity created in memory of Hugh who died aged 6 from cancer — an amazing little boy whom I was lucky enough to know. His mum and dad have turned their heartbreak into a powerful campaign to make sure parents of seriously ill children are properly supported, and they’ve inspired me to run the marathon because I truly believe every parent deserves care, understanding and security when their child is ill.

When a child is going through treatment, life doesn’t pause. Parents often have to step away from work, finances become strained, and the emotional toll can be overwhelming. It’s Never You provides practical help, but also vital mental health and wellbeing support during what can be the most agonising time a family will ever face.

This cause is incredibly close to my heart. I’ve seen how tough this journey can be, and the difference real support can make. If you’re able to donate or share, I’d be deeply grateful. It really is an amazing charity doing essential work for families who need it most.
