My Story

In April 2026, I will be taking part in the London Marathon for Kidney Care UK.

In November of 2024, my dad was taken into hospital and diagnosed with vasculitis, a rare condition which affects the blood vessels. This caused damage to his kidneys, and they began to fail, going as low as 10% function. Thankfully, for an amazing team at Oxford Hospital, they were able to help with a range of chemotherapy and infusion treatments, and his kidneys are now up to 50% function!

After seeing him go through this, I knew if I was going to run the London Marathon, I wanted it to be for a charity that will work towards helping people going through similar experiences. Kidney care Uk work at a government level to push for better care and treatments whilst simultaneously providing support and care for patients. All money raised from this event will go to enabling them to carry on with their amazing work. Any donations or support will be so appreciated!
