My Story
I am running the London Marathon in support of an exceptional local charity: the Berkshire MS Therapy Centre.
This cause is deeply personal to me. My maternal grandfather lived with MS and received treatment at the same hospital where the Berkshire MS Therapy Centre was originally founded. Supporting this charity feels like a full-circle moment, and I am proud to be part of a small team raising funds for work that truly matters.
The Centre helps people living with Multiple Sclerosis manage their condition through specialist therapies that are not widely available elsewhere. Just as importantly, it provides a supportive community where individuals and families can connect, share experiences, and feel less alone.
The Centre relies entirely on fundraising. It receives no NHS funding, yet this year it will deliver over 15,000 treatments and support more than 350 local families. While there is currently no cure for MS, the care and support provided by the Centre makes a tangible, day-to-day difference in people’s lives.
I will be taking on the London Marathon on Sunday 26 April 2026, committing to months of training and hundreds of miles in preparation. This will be my 5th World Marathon Major, and without question the most meaningful; a run in my home country for a cause close to my heart.
Any donation, large or small, will directly support this vital work. I know times are challenging for many, but every contribution genuinely helps.
