My Story
In April 2026, I’ll be taking on the London Marathon which is both very exciting and mildly terrifying, considering the furthest I’ve ever run is 7km. (So if you see someone crying into their jelly babies on race day… it’s probably me.)
But this challenge has a purpose that means more to me than just the finish line.
I’m running for Royal Trinity Hospice, an incredible charity that cared for my granny, Gail, in her final weeks before she passed away from pancreatic cancer. They didn’t just look after her, they supported our whole family through one of the most frightening and unpredictable moments life can throw at you. The end of life is something no one ever really feels prepared for, but Royal Trinity made that path just a little gentler, a little kinder, and a little less dark.
My granny also volunteered at the hospice, which makes this feel even more personal, giving back to the place she gave so much of herself to.
I moved to London in May 2025, and funnily enough, I now live just one street away from where she used to live. I know she would have absolutely loved having me so close, but life doesn’t always unfold the way we hope. So I’m running this marathon in her memory, carrying her spirit every step of the way.
Royal Trinity Hospice relies on fundraising to continue offering free, specialist care to people facing the hardest moments of their lives. Anything you can donate truly makes a difference.
Thank you for supporting me, supporting this incredible charity, and helping me honour my Granny in a way I think she’d be proud of.
