My Story

I am very excited to be running the London Marathon 2026 for The British Heart Foundation in honour of my wonderful father.

In 2020, my family had our worst fear occur when we lost my Dad, Eddie to a sudden cardiac arrest. My Dad was a very fit and healthy man, he always took care of himself, eating and drinking well and doing HIIT workouts with us all in lockdown. I always looked forward to my lunch time long walks with my Dad and I would do anything to continue to have these.

These tragic events can happen to anyone, no matter your way of life. We have raised over £7,000 for the charity since then to honour my wonderful Dad and also to raise awareness for the charity's cause to be able to do the research that needs to be done to help other people and families. We want to prevent other people having to go through what we went through.

I'm doing the London Marathon because my Dad used to train my sisters and I with our favourite sports - we all happen to also be runners so this feels like the obvious challenge to go for and it a beautiful one to achieve for my Father who got me into running and I can imagine him cheering me on which will help get through the training!

My Dad is my best friend, and the most incredible man you could ever meet in your life. He had everyone howling with laughter, he was a social magnet and could talk to anyone. But also, he was the kindest man you could ever meet, you could talk to my Dad about anything and he would always know how to help and make everything better. He helped my sisters and I with every hobby and every exam, interview the such. I mean it when I say this man could do anything! My Dad is the best Dad in the world and I love you Dad more than words can say x

Any little you can help means so, so much to me!

Thank you,
