My Story

A second crack at it!

No-one ever gets in through the ballot, right??!!! Yet every year we go through the annual ritual, send in the application, donate your fee knowing that you'll get a cool training jacket through the post at some point over the next few months.

Yeah turns out some people actually do get in! So after a truly memorable day last year I get to do it all again.

This time I will be raising for the Masonic Charitable Foundation (MCF) A charity very close to my heart, having been involved in Freemasonry since I was young and joining when I was 21, I have seen first hand the excellent work that the MCF does. Supporting multiple causes worldwide.

Last year I was fortunate to receive a lot of support from my friends and family for which I was eternally grateful. Any support you could give me this time around will be equally appreciated. I'm back out hitting the pavements and will be ready to roll next April (although I will be taking suncream with me this time!)

About us

The London Marathon has become an annual, inspiring and colourful fixture in the world’s sporting calendar since the inaugural race on 29 March 1981: a celebration of fun, fundraising and fancy dress.

Over the years more than a million people have completed the 26.2-mile course – which runs from Blackheath to The Mall, with a spectacular finish in front of Buckingham Palace, showcasing the very best that the capital city has to offer.

What’s more, these participants have raised over a billion pounds for charity and there have been countless amazing tales of human achievement throughout the event’s history – living up to its aim of helping participants ‘to have fun, and provide some happiness and sense of achievement in a troubled world’.
