My Story

As a Late Entry Officer in the Royal Engineers with 26 years service, I have witnessed first hand, on several occasions, situations where the REA have helped both friends, colleagues, and veterans in need. In recent years as a Squadron Sergeant Major and a Regimental Sergeant Major, my relationship with some of the incredible people that work tirelessly within the charity to help others has grown significantly along with my understanding and admiration of the organisation and the work they do. I've been absolutely blown away by how much they do for so many, and how passionate they are to help both serving and veteran Sappers, and their families, wherever possible. 

To be given the opportunity to fly the flag and represent the "Sapper Charity" at such a major event is a huge honour and I cannot wait to get started.
