My Story

This year marks 10 years since I first laced up my running shoes after a breakdown in my mental health, which also included a battle with alcoholism.

In the next 6 Months I will be taking on 3 Marathons (Snowdonia, Boston - Lincs and London

On the 26th April (exactly 10 years since I did my first 5k), I’ll be taking on the London Marathon, all in support of the Wolverhampton Wanderers Foundation.

Having faced my own struggles with mental health and addiction, I’m passionate about raising funds for the Foundation – especially their Heads for Health project.

Heads for Health helps adults over 18 improve their mental and physical wellbeing. The project works with incredible local partners such as NHS Healthy Minds, Recovery Near You, Wolverhampton Samaritans, and the Service User Involvement Team – all of which have supported me at different points in my own recovery journey.

For the price of a coffee, you could help make a real difference to the lives of people in our community. Every donation, no matter how small, will go directly towards supporting this vital work.
