Making 26.2 Miles Matter

My Story

Even though 1 in 4 people experience a mental health problem, most of us don’t get the help we need. This has to change.

I’m running the London Marathon this April for Mind, a charity that fights for mental health across England and Wales. Mind works to make mental health an everyday priority — standing up to the injustices in healthcare, work, and law that make life harder for those struggling. They support minds by offering help whenever it’s needed through information, advice, and local services. And they connect minds, bringing together individuals and communities to make a real difference.

Mental health is something I care about deeply. I’ve seen how quietly heavy it can feel, and how hard it can be to ask for help. That’s why I’ve decided that every mile I run will mean something. Each of the 26.2 miles will be dedicated to a story, a person, or an act of kindness. When you sponsor a mile, you’re helping me carry that story — while also supporting Mind’s work.

How it works:

  • £26 and up → 1 mile: Your story, person, or act of kindness will join a collective mile. All contributions are carried together with intention and celebrated with a group shout-out on race day.
  • £52 and up → 2 miles: Your story, person, or act of kindness will receive focused intention at key points during the race and be acknowledged individually afterward.
  • £262 and up → 10 miles: Your story, person, or act of kindness will be honored during a pre-selected mile chosen in advance to allow full reflection, before, during, and after the race.

All dedications are equally meaningful. Each story, person, or act of kindness is carried with intention, and anonymity is always respected if you prefer.

Thank you in advance! I'm so grateful for your donation. Click here to share your dedication or personal message: https://forms.gle/b2RhtrKUcW8FcjAt9

Every step I run will carry the weight, hope, and care of the people Mind supports. Together, we can make mental health a priority, and ensure that everyone experiencing mental illness gets the support and respect they deserve.
