About us

Since 2016 I have been running to raise money for Brooke - Action for Working Horses and Donkeys. In 2026 I'm going again - The London Marathon, an annual, inspiring and colourful fixture in the world’s sporting calendar.

Brooke is an international equine charity based in the United Kingdom, dedicated to the welfare and care of donkeys, horses, and mules. Founded in 1934 by Dorothy Brooke, the charity has evolved from its original focus on rescuing war horses to a comprehensive organization that directly supports over 1.5 million working animals each year. Brooke's mission is to ensure that working horses, donkeys, and mules have a life worth living by providing veterinary care, training, and advocacy. The charity works with communities to improve animal welfare and has made significant strides in protecting working animals from suffering and neglect.
