Going for 40 at 40!

My Story

In my 40th year, I’ll be running just over 40 kilometres – my first (and quite possibly last!) marathon. Like many parents with two children under three, opportunities to escape the house are rare, so combining a bit of exercise with fundraising for a truly worthy cause seemed too good to pass up.

I’ll be running the London 2026 Marathon in support of the NSPCC, a brilliant charity that works tirelessly to protect and support children and families in need. If you’re able to, please consider donating to help the NSPCC continue their incredible work supporting vulnerable children and families.

I’ve been training hard over the past few months –running the City 2 Surf in Sydney and  the Oxford Half Marathon, finishing in 1 hour 37 minutes – and I’ll be aiming (optimistically) to sneak in just under 4 hours in London.

Thank you so much for your support – and please spare a thought for my knees on race day!
