My Story

Hi, I'm Carl Jones, and in April 2026, I’ll be lacing up my trainers to take on the London Marathon — not just for the challenge, but for something far bigger than myself.

This run is for Birmingham Children's Hospital Charity, a place that brings light and healing to thousands of children and families during their darkest times. Their work is extraordinary, and I’m proud to support them in any way I can.

But this journey is also deeply personal.

Earlier this year, I made the difficult decision to defer my 2025 marathon place to spend precious time with my mum before her passing. That time with her reminded me of the importance of compassion, care, and being present — values that Birmingham Children's Hospital lives every day.

Now, I’m back with renewed purpose. I’m running in memory of my mum, for the care and support my daughter has received from Birmingham Children's Hospital, and for every child who needs a lifeline when life gets tough.

My goal is to raise £5,000, and I’m going to be doing it with a mix of sweat, heart, and creativity.

Whether you donate £5 or £50, every penny helps make a difference. Your support will fuel me through the miles, and more importantly, help bring smiles, care, and hope to children who need it most.

Thank you for being part of this journey. Let’s make every step count, and help create miracles.
