My Story

This year, I have the privilege of running the London Marathon for Rentstart, a small local charity. I've known Helen and the team there for 4 years now, and the work that they do is phenomenal.

Rentstart is a homelessness charity based in Elmbridge. They support people who are rough sleeping, sofa-surfing, or at risk of losing their home. Most are single adults who cannot access statutory support, meaning we are often their only route to safe, stable housing.

In the last year, thanks to supporters like you:
• 838 people were supported across Elmbridge and Surrey
• 146 rough sleepers received help
• 102 evictions were prevented
• 98 people were helped into housing
• 1033 intervention sessions stopped homelessness before it escalated
• 923 hot meals were provided
• 500+ showers and laundry uses offered dignity and stability

Behind every number is a person who walked through our High Street Hub and found compassion, practical help, and a path forward.

Please donate, as much or as little as you can to support such an important cause.

• £25 provides a hot meal and support session
• £50 funds a tenancy skills session
• £100 supports a rough sleeper into emergency help
• £250 helps prevent an eviction
• £500 contributed to securing a safe home for someone rebuilding their life
