Cathy’s London Marathon Fundraising Page 🏃🏼♀️💪

My Story
This year, I’ve been lucky enough to land a ballot place in the London Marathon and am running in support of a place that means a great deal to me: Melbourn Primary School, and in particular, music at MPS ❤️.
We’ve seen a huge change in the music scene at MPS with the arrival of Mrs MacLeod-Jones (Mrs M-J to the kids!), and I’m sure you were bowled over by the carol service at Christmas, and the recent Year 3 and Year 4 music concerts – moments full of confidence and joy that families treasure.
And then there was the Young Voices choir, who experienced an incredible atmosphere at the O2 Arena when they performed with thousands of other children from around the UK (and even New York!)
So…what am I actually fundraising for?
To support the incredible work Mrs M-J and MPS are doing in music, the school needs a new PA system for the Hall. This will be used for assemblies, performances, and school events, allowing for more children to show their skills, find their voices, and develop confidence.
It will cost in the region of £5,000 and I’m hoping that our incredible school and wider community can help me raise a significant amount towards that.
I have run half marathons, but a full marathon is a huge personal challenge for me. Knowing that any money raised will be going towards a good cause will definitely help me keep on going through those last, painful miles! Anything you can donate, however big or small, will go towards building a fantastic environment for our children to perform, shine and thrive.
Thank you for supporting me and our school community 🙌!
