My Story

About us

There are two main reasons we are running the London marathon for Women In Sport this year.

The first is that we truly believe in the work Women In Sport are doing and are desperate to support that. Women's sport, in particular rugby, is a massive part of our life. It is how we met, it is how we both make our living, and without it, we don't really know what we'd do! It saddens us to think that other people wouldn't have the same opportunities to access and take the joy from women's sport the way we have been lucky enough to and we want to support Women In Sport in their mission to make sure no women or girls are missing out on the incredble experiences sport brings.

The second reason is a far more personal one. 2025 was an incredibly challenging year for us as in April Beanie was rushed into hospital for surgery due to an ectopic pregnancy and as a result of the surgery we learned that we wouldn't be able to conceive naturally again and would have to take the IVF route if we wanted to have children. The 2026 London Marathon will mark a year almost to the day since the surgery and we can't think of a better way to mark the end of that year than achieving something together that 12 months ago would have been unthinkable.

Thank you for any support you can give, we are excited for the journey!
