Team Quirke - Run for Pauline

My Story

In April 2026, Team Quirke will take on the TCS London Marathon for Alzheimer’s Research UK.

The team, led by Charlie Quirke, will be running for his mum – TV icon and national treasure Pauline Quirke MBE – who is living with dementia.

This is his second major fundraising challenge for the UK’s leading dementia research charity following Charlie Quirke’s Trek For A Cure in December.

The 140km trek was a hugely emotional challenge, with Charlie capturing the hearts of the nation as he visited places of special meaning for Pauline and his family.

Now, Charlie and his team will tackle the iconic 26.2-mile course through the capital to further help drive progress towards a cure.

The team includes Charlie’s fiancé Chloe Thornton and good friends James Sharman, Jack O’Connell, Cey Spellman, Adam Long, Andy Knott and Luke Roskell.

As it stands, one in two people will be impacted by dementia during their lifetime – either by developing the condition, caring for someone with it, or both. Every penny you donate will help Alzheimer’s Research UK revolutionise the way dementia is treated, diagnosed and prevented.

Thank you
