My Story

I’m running the London Marathon 2026 for Kennedy’s Disease UK – and I need your support!

My best friend’s family has been directly affected by Kennedy’s Disease (KD), and I’m so grateful to have the opportunity to raise awareness and funds for KD-UK. They’re a small but mighty charity doing incredible work to support those living with KD and to fund vital research into finding a cure.

So, what is Kennedy’s Disease?
KD is a rare, genetic neuromuscular condition that gradually causes muscle weakness and wasting. It mainly affects men and can lead to difficulties with walking, swallowing, and everyday movement. There’s currently no cure – which is why funding research and supporting affected families is so important.

I love running. It helps me feel grounded, focused, and strong. I'm grateful that it gives me a way to do something meaningful for this cause and to help people I love.

I ran the London Marathon back in 2014 in 4hrs18 mins, and I’d love to beat that next year. I've run a couple of half marathons recently and felt great – but honestly, I can’t quite imagine turning around and doing the same distance again straight away 😵‍💫

I'll be posting my training runs on Strava and gradually building up the distance. Your sponsorship really does mean the world – it’s more than just a donation. It’s you putting your trust in me to train hard, keep going when it gets tough, and balance all the chaos of life so I can give this challenge the time and energy it deserves.

I might feel far off from 26.2 miles right now, but I will absolutely get there – and every donation helps remind me why I’m doing this.

Thank you so much for your support ❤️
