My Story
I’m running the London Marathon in 2026 to raise money for the incredible Body Dysmorphic Disorder Foundation (BDDF)!
The BDDF is the only UK charity solely dedicated to supporting people affected by Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD) - a serious mental health condition that causes individuals to obsess over perceived flaws in their appearance.
Through their advocacy work, support groups, helpline, online resources, and community outreach, the BDDF offers vital help and hope to those living with this often misunderstood condition. Their work is genuinely life-changing - and, for many, life-saving.
I’ll be taking on the London Marathon to raise funds so the BDDF can continue to expand their support services and awareness campaigns. I have never run anything close to 26.2 miles before (oh god), but every mile will be worth it if it helps more people access the understanding and care they need.
Thank you so much in advance for any donations - big or small - and I'll see you on the start line (probably smiling, possibly crying, but definitely applying anti-chafe cream)!
Big love,
Charlotte <3
