My Story
In April 2026 i will be running the London marathon for the charity Young Lives vs Cancer. Not only will I be running to raise funds for this amazing charity but I will be doing this in memory of George Fox.
As many of you will know, George is one of Lui's besties. Together they played football in their younger years but it wasn't until middle school that a true friendship was formed. George and Lui shared the same form, where they quickly discovered a love of gaming and humour, from hilarious voice notes to long nights playing fornite and creating you tube videos they became besties. Unfortunately in year 6 covid hit, however thankfully the boys still had technology to keep in touch. The boys returned back to school in year 7, keen to catch up and create new memories. It wasn't long until George started to feel unwell, he began to experience headaches and sickness which kept him off school, tirelessly his parents Louise and Matt fought for answers but their concerns were brushed aside. 3 weeks later, Louise and Matts concerns were confirmed. George had been diagnosed with Giloblastoma a brain tumour at just 12 years old. The news was earth shattering, but for those who were fortunate to know George would know that he would fight this with every bit of strength he had. Unfortunately 11 months after his diagnosis George sadly passed away at just 13 years old. George's gang this year hit huge milestones, turning 16, going to their prom, sitting their GCSE'S and leaving school ready for the next step in their futures. It's so devastating that George couldn't be there with them.
George's legacy still lives on, with both Louise and Matt tirelessly fundraising and raising awareness in George's name.
If you can support me by donating to my page in memory of Gorgeous George Fox I would be so grateful 🙏
