My Story

The London Marathon has become an annual, inspiring and colourful fixture in the sporting calendar since the inaugural race on 29 March 1981: a celebration of fun, fundraising and fancy dress.

Over the years more than a million people have completed the 26.2-mile course –  from Blackheath to The Mall,  finishing in front of Buckingham Palace.

What’s more,  over a billion pounds has been raised for charity throughout the event’s history.

So this year myself and  (little) Kev have decided to take on the challenge and run for a charity that supports a cause very close to our hearts
