My Story
About me
I’m running the London Marathon for Marie Curie, a charity that means the world to me and my family.
I first came across Marie Curie when I was just 12 years old, when they cared for my nan in her final days. The nurses made sure she was comfortable and at peace, and they gave our family the support we needed to cope with such a painful time. Their kindness helped me understand and come to terms with losing her — and it’s something I’ll never forget.
Since then, Marie Curie has continued to be there for my family, offering advice, comfort, and guidance. Whether it was helping us understand my mum’s health as she deteriorated, or supporting my aunt through her own battle, they were always there with care, compassion, and answers when we needed them most.
That’s why I’m lacing up my trainers and taking on 26.2 miles — to give back to the nurses and the charity that gave us so much. Every step I run is in memory of my loved ones, and for the thousands of families Marie Curie helps every year.
Your donation will help Marie Curie continue to provide end-of-life care, support, and dignity to people who need it most. Together, we can make sure no one faces the end alone.
