My Story
Running for Brainwave – Help Me Make a Difference...
On 26th April, I’ll be running the London Marathon to support Brainwave, a charity transforming the lives of children with disabilities and additional needs.
As a Trustee of this incredible small charity, I’ve seen firsthand the difference Brainwave makes. Their expert therapists design and teach bespoke therapy programmes for parents and carers to use at home or at school, helping children develop mobility, communication, and learning skills. They work with children facing conditions such as cerebral palsy, acquired brain injuries, childhood strokes, autism, spina bifida, genetic disorders (including Down’s syndrome), SWAN syndromes, and children without a diagnosis.
Brainwave’s dedicated team – physiotherapists, speech and language therapists, sensory integration practitioners, and learning specialists – gives every child the tools they need to thrive.
I’m running 26.2 miles to help Brainwave continue this life-changing work – but I can’t do it alone. Every donation counts, funding specialist therapy sessions, equipment to aid communication and mobility, and family support services.
Your support can give children the chance to reach their full potential. Every step counts – thank you!
