My Story

I can't believe I get to say this, but I'm running the London Marathon 2026! I had years where I stopped running altogether due to injury and never thought I'd ever be able to take a crack at a marathon. Thankfully, I've done a lot of training for Hyrox, which has not only helped me do some form of running again, but feel strong, safe and even enjoy running.

I'm well aware the marathon is a huge leap for me, but the best thing is I'm getting to run it for Lewisham Local. We moved to Forest Hill in 2019 and have loved being part of this area. Lewisham Local provide a diverse range of projects to create happier and healthier communities. From FoodCycle events providing free meals using surplus food, to helping residents to start their volunteering journey, to supporting people with learning disabilities and mental health into work placements.

To be able to do it for such a good cause that is right on my doorstep + running in the city itself - it's all incredibly motivating and I hope you know I'm going to give this my all.
