My Story
I am running the 2026 TCS London Marathon in support of the Royal Marsden.
I’m not just doing it for the experience. I’m doing it for someone truly remarkable, my aunty, Shiona Ramage. Shiona has been battling stage 4 melanoma for the past eight years. She continues to be treated at The Royal Marsden by Professor James Larkin, the team around her are truly remarkable in their research and care.
For most of my life I have seen Shiona fight melanoma, she has become one of my biggest inspirations due to her strength and determination. While navigating living life to the fullest with stage 4 cancer she has relentlessly fundraised for melanoma research for The Royal Marsden. Every year, despite hospital visits and treatment, Shiona organises and takes part in huge physical challenges to raise funds. I’ve had the privilege of joining her hiking through the Atlas mountains of Morocco, dancing non-stop for 24 hours, and skipping for a month! I’ve felt inspired and deeply moved by the impact she makes, not just in fundraising, but in showing what it means to truly live with purpose and passion.
Now it’s time for me to take on my biggest challenge yet — the London Marathon. I want to do this for Shiona. Her bravery, tireless energy, and her unwavering belief that together we can make a change. I’ve seen first-hand how the money raised goes directly to life-changing research and patient care, and I want to do everything I can to support that work in her name. Running 26.2 miles might seem impossible, but it’s nothing compared to the strength Shiona shows every single day. She’s my aunty, my role model, and one of the most inspiring people I know. I want to support people knowing her story, to celebrate her incredible efforts. The marathon to me isn’t a race it’s a chance to show my support for the incredible hospital that treats her so well and to help spread Shiona’s story.
