My Story

 

In memory of Isabel Butcher 🌈🐞

 

Isabel was taken seriously ill in early June 2007 aged 2 years 4 months.

She was rushed to St Mary's and was in hospital for four months. She was given hours to live.

Not only did she receive the most amazing treatment from all the medical and support teams, but her parents were also provided with near-by accommodation. Which may seem small but allowed them to focus on Isabel and not worry where they would stay or travel arrangements.

Sadly Isabel passed away September 2007. With the professionalism of the team and her determination, her family had four more precious months with Isabel.

Cosmic supports the neonatal and paediatric intensive care units at St Mary’s and Queen Charlotte’s Hospitals. They fund life-saving equipment, pioneering research, and specialist staff training. Most importantly, they are there for families — offering comfort, counselling, and a place to stay during the darkest days of their child’s life. With your support, they can give seriously ill babies and children the best possible chance to survive and thrive.
