I’m raising money for The Fire Fighters Charity by taking on an extreme personal challenge... Running the London marathon in full fire kit and breathing apparatus (BA).

 

Firefighters put themselves in harm’s way every day, both physically and mentally. The Fire Fighters Charity provides vital support to serving firefighters, retired firefighters and their families when they need it most. This run is my way of giving something back while pushing myself far beyond my comfort zone.

 

Running a marathon is tough. Running one in full fire kit and BA is on another level entirely. Every mile will be a reminder of the strength, resilience, and sacrifice shown by firefighters every day.
