I have some oink-tastic news – I’ll be running the 2026 London Marathon for the National Deaf Children’s Society. It’s a huge undertaking, and 26.2 miles is nothing to snort at! But I’ll be taking on this challenge for George and to show that nothing should hold deaf children back. 

The National Deaf Children’s Society is the charity for deaf children with any level of hearing loss. They are here for deaf children and everyone who cares about them. They’ve provided lots of advice and support since we found out George is deaf in one ear. This felt like the perfect way to give something back. 

26.2 miles is a lot of steps. But with support from you and my coach Peppa, and lots of grit and determination, I’m sure I’ll cross the finish line in no time!   

Since finding out George is deaf there have been ups and downs, but he’s excited to discover the world in a new way. With the right support we know nothing will hold him back. 
 
Ninety‑nine percent of the charity’s work is funded by the public, and with 54,000 deaf children in the UK, I’m aiming to raise £54,000 to help support them - £1 for every deaf child in the UK. Please give generously to make this possible.
