My Story
Why I'm Fundraising.
I’ve been attending Andy’s Man Club since about February 2025.
When I first went along, I was struggling, suffering with severe depression, anxeity and loneliness, I didn’t have family nearby, and my partner lived some distance away. After hearing about AMC in Ulverston, I decided to give it a try and meet others who might be going through similar challenges.
That first night, I cried the whole way through, as a i do most nights too. I’ve always found it difficult to open up, but having AMC there gives me a safe space to let things out after a tough week, whether it’s stress from work or life in general.
I genuinely believe I wouldn’t be where I am today without the support of my friends at AMC. They’ve helped me through some incredibly dark and difficult times.
Since starting at AMC, i have left the Ulverston meet and now attend Halesowen, where i have been made incredibly welcome by the lads down there.
I have just started my facilitator training so in the future i can assist in the running of AMC events and guide other people through their dark patch in their life.
I wear my AMC wristband every day with pride – whether I’m at work or out playing sport – and I do my best to promote such an amazing cause.
Hopefully, by raising this money (and more), AMC can continue to grow, open new groups, and train more men to support others through whatever they’re facing – big or small.
