My Story
About us
On 26 April 2026, I’ll be running the London Marathon — my first ever marathon!
If you’d told me a few years ago that I’d one day run 26.2 miles, I honestly wouldn’t have believed you. When I first started running, I could barely manage 30 minutes without stopping and never imagined I’d enjoy it, let alone keep pushing myself further. But little by little, run by run, I grew more confident, more determined, and more in love with running.
Last year, I completed my first half marathon, which felt like a huge achievement. Now, I feel incredibly lucky to have secured a place in the 2026 London Marathon — a challenge that still feels slightly unreal, but one I’m fully committed to giving everything I’ve got.
I’m proud to be fundraising for Hertfordshire Community Foundation, a grant-making charity that turns donations into practical support for small charities and families in crisis across Hertfordshire — the county where my children and I live.
This cause is especially close to my heart, not only because of the impact it has locally, but because I also work for the charity as its Marketing and Communications Manager. I see first-hand the difference these grants make — helping people through some of the toughest moments in their lives and strengthening our community from the ground up.
The team at Hertfordshire Community Foundation work tirelessly to ensure funds reach those who need them most, and I couldn’t be prouder to run in support of their work.
I would be hugely grateful for any donation, no matter how small — every pound really does help make a difference.
If you’d like to follow my training journey, you can also find me on Strava — every bit of encouragement (and every kudos!) goes a long way, especially on those long run days.
Thank you so much for your support!
