My Story

Hi I'm Darija and I'm running the London Marathon 2026 for the Chloe Bigmore Trust

Prior to the pandemic I was a massive long distance runner (it had to be at least a half marathon or I wasn't interested!) but a combination of a knee injury and prioritising playing hockey meant that the only running I did (apart from hockey) was a parkrun on Saturdays.

When Paul offered me a charity place in August 2025 I decided to take it because I wanted to run a marathon again. The timeframe also meant I had nine months to train so it was realistic.

I am glad to be raising money for an awesome charity like the Chloe Bigmore Trust because I wanted to do something to help people with children. My eldest son has ADHD and I struggled with him for many years. We are all out the other side now but I know other people are in a far worse situation than us. The Chloe Bigmore Trust helps to support children, and their parents/guardians, who are approaching the end of their lives with love, dignity and respect.

If anyone has any spare cash to donate we would be very grateful.

See you on the finishing line!!
