I will be running the London Marathon in April this year for Kidney Research UK—an incredible charity working to transform the lives of people affected by kidney disease. As someone living with stage 3a CKD, I know firsthand how vital research and support are for those facing this challenge.

 

Kidney disease is a silent epidemic, affecting over three million people in the UK alone. It can strike anyone, at any age, and often goes unnoticed until it’s advanced. For those diagnosed, treatments like dialysis or transplant can be life-changing—but there’s still no cure, and the need for better options is urgent.

 

Kidney Research UK is the largest charity in the UK dedicated to funding research into prevention, treatment, and management of kidney disease. Every donation helps scientists make breakthroughs, improve care, and give hope to families like mine.
