My Story
Established in 2022, the Blue Light Card Foundation exists to give back to those who dedicate their careers to keeping the UK safe, healthy, and supported.
This includes but is not limited to Police, Fire, Ambulance, Military, Education and Coastguard.
With ever increasing demands on their jobs, with tighter budgets and fewer people it is not hard to see why working in public service has never been harder. The wellbeing of these people is often overlooked and has resulted in many suffering in silence.
Police officers are now more liky to die from suicide than in the line of duty, while 1 in 5 firefighters are living with PTSD.
The average nurse took one week off during 2024 for stress, anxiety or depression related illness.
The Blue Light Foundation seeks to provide them with help and support in their time of need.
Every penny rasied will go directly to the charity and i have a target of £2500.
