My Story

About us

The London Marathon has become an annual, inspiring and colourful fixture in the world’s sporting calendar since the inaugural race on 29 March 1981: a celebration of fun, fundraising and fancy dress.

Over the years more than a million people have completed the 26.2-mile course – which runs from Blackheath to The Mall, with a spectacular finish in front of Buckingham Palace, showcasing the very best that the capital city has to offer.

Hi everyone

I'm a proud and honoured to be running this year's London marathon on behalf of Cancer support charity

Reason have chosen the charity is my father passed 28 years ago of stomach cancer after a long battle , everyone involved in my dad's treatment were fantastic and can't praise them all enough , and a last year I was feeling tired and lost weight,  I went to my doctors and was referred to specialist , and found that I had very early stage of the same cancer my farther had , and due to my father I was sent for test and from seeing my doctor and being told that I have cancer was so quick . I'm very lucky,  because of the quick response by staff I have been told that if I look after myself and being in good health,  that I can carry on with my future . When I found this opportunity through my company I work for (CPI MORTARS) and applied for the place and was very lucky to be chosen I was so happy and honoured,  I am so greatful that I can repay one of the charity's that are involved in helping others with cancer,  and give something back . I'm so determined to raise as much as I can for the charity  and also this will be a massive achievement for myself to participate in one of the most famous marathon in the world .

I'm am very greaful to anyone who donates for me for  this year's London marathon and to let everyone know I will not let you and cancer support down
