My Story
On April 26, I will be running the London Marathon for the Duchenne Family Support Group — a cause that means everything to our family.
This will be my very first full marathon, and I’m taking on this huge personal challenge for someone even braver — my Son.
My beautiful son is living with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, a cruel and life-limiting condition that causes progressive muscle weakness. As a parent, there is nothing harder than knowing you cannot take this disease away from your child. Every day brings challenges we never imagined we would face.
I’m running this marathon with him in my heart every single step of the way. When the miles get tough, I will be thinking of his strength, his smile, and the courage he shows every day.
The Duchenne Family Support Group provides vital support, guidance, and hope to families like ours. They remind us that we are not alone on this journey.
If you are able to donate, no matter how small, you will be helping families facing Duchenne and supporting the fight for a better future for children like my son.
Thank you for your kindness, your support, and for standing with us.
