My Story

I will be running the London Marathon 2026 for our beautiful little girl Vida, she is 5 years old and profoundly autistic.

Being Vida’s dad is my greatest privilege and also the hardest thing i've ever done.

Vida was hitting all of her milestones until around 20 months old when she regressed almost overnight. She no longer answered to her name, she didn’t point or wave, and eye contact became rare. It was a deeply worrying and confusing time.

4 years on, we are still learning every day. Vida remains completely non-verbal and requires around the clock care and support. Life is challenging in so many ways that we once took for granted.

With the love and support of our amazing family and friends we are coping and Vida is thriving in her own special way.But we know this isn’t the case for everyone. Too many families don’t have access to the services, information, advocacy and community support they so desperately need.

That’s why the National Autistic Society is such a lifeline.

This April, I'm running my first London Marathon and every step for our daughter Vida and for all the families like ours. If you are able to donate, however small, it would mean the world to us and to the families the National Autistic Society supports.

Thank you so much.
