My Story

I am so excited to have been given the privilege of running the 2026 TCS London Marathon for the Brentford Penguins! 🐧⚽️

In my career as a paediatric nurse, I have been constantly amazed and inspired by the strength, positivity, and fun that children bring when faced with the toughest of challenges. Children living with disabilities encounter more challenges than most, but I’ve seen them meet these with exceptional bravery, positivity, and resilience time and time again.

When I was approached by a fellow coach to join the Planet Penguin Football Foundation, it was a no-brainer. How could I pass up the opportunity to spend my Sunday mornings with a bunch of strong, hilarious, kind, and joyful children and young people playing football?

The Penguins are all about community, inclusion, and creating a space for children and young people with Down Syndrome to build lifelong friendships — and develop some impeccable football skills (much better than mine, that’s for sure!).

It has been a real privilege to be part of this community, something I value immensely as a foreigner in London.

Please donate to help us provide even more opportunities for these amazing children and young people by supporting my run in the 2026 London Marathon!
