My Story

I’m really excited (and terrified!) to have been given a place to run my first ever marathon at the 2026 London Marathon supporting Bedford Hospital Charity & Friends. It’s an honour to take part in such an iconic event while raising money for a cause that’s close to home.

Like so many people in our community, my family, friends and I have all experienced Bedford Hospital at some point in our lives. Whether it's routine care or something more urgent, the hospital and the work they do is incredible.

By supporting me you’ll be helping BHC&F hit their target of £45,000 to to upgrade a specialist Stabilisation & Treatment room to help children and their families receiving cancer care. 

Every donation, no matter the size, will make a real difference.

About Bedford Hospital Charity & Friends

Bedford Hospital Charity & Friends raises funds to support patients & staff at Bedford Hospital by provide the most up to date equipment, facilities and services at Bedford Hospital for the benefit of all patients who need its services. 

Over the last 12 months, BHC&F have raised funds to refurbish two dedicated Cancer Care side rooms on Riverbank Ward where acutely ill children who develop complications whilst undergoing treatment at Addenbrookes or Great Ormond Street hospitals can be treated urgently. These rooms are both fully operational.
