Help me raise money for Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease (CJD)

My Story
On April 26th 2026 I will be running the London Marathon to raise money for Creutzfeldt–Jakob disease (CJD), a cause that is very close to my heart. I chose to support this charity in memory of my Grandma, who sadly passed away from CJD. Because the disease is so rare, it often doesn’t receive the awareness, research funding, or attention that it truly deserves.
CJD is a rare, rapidly progressive neurological disease that affects the brain. It is estimated to affect around 1 person in every million each year, making it one of the rarest forms of dementia. Tragically, there is currently no cure, and the disease progresses very quickly — many people deteriorate within months of diagnosis. CJD has a devastating impact not only on those diagnosed, but also on their families, who are forced to watch their loved ones decline in a very short space of time.
By running the marathon, I hope to help raise awareness of CJD and contribute to vital research, support, and care for families affected by this cruel disease. Any donation, big or small, would mean so much and will help ensure this rare condition is not forgotten.
Thank you for your support 💙
