My Story

My Story

Hear Together are a group which support children in the Midlands area who have mild to profound hearing loss.

They have built a fantastic support community amongst parents who have children with hearing loss, many of whom have no hearing loss in their families, this is essential for understanding the different challenges posed to parents with non hearing children and also to the children as they grow up knowing they are not on their own and that there are many other children that are the same as them, its amazing to see how happy children are when they see another child with sound processors or hearing aids!!

This group have been fantastic for us as a family with a profoundly deaf child, so when I was invited to run the London marathon to raise finds for them i jumped chance to push my boundaries and help raise awareness and funds for this crucial charity.

Any donations no matter how small would be gratefully recieved as it will all make a difference to young children with hearing loss and their families!
