My Story

My motivation for running The 2026 London Marathon is my dad. In September 2024, he was diagnosed with cancer of the salivary gland after previously undergoing four operations to remove skin cancer from his forehead and leg. When he discovered a large lump on his cheek, further tests confirmed it was cancer.
He went on to endure an eight-hour operation to remove both the cancer and his salivary gland, followed by six weeks of radiotherapy at Mount Vernon. Thankfully, he has recovered well and is now cancer-free.
As a family, this was an incredibly difficult time, watching him go through major surgery, recovery and radiotherapy. However, we are immensely proud of his strength and positivity throughout it all, and deeply grateful for the outstanding care and treatment he received.
It is a true privilege to run the London Marathon in support of Cancer Treatment and Research Trust and to raise money for such an important and life-changing cause.  Thank you for you support.
