My Story
My Story:
I’ve always loved sport and always being active. I was always the child chosen to do cross country events and district sport at primary school, and going into secondary school, I was part of the team there too (getting close to the national finals once). But I was invested in football - a sport that I love too. My parents always said that running came easy to me and that was a real skill but I wasn’t ready to embrace it. Until now….
I’m hoping for a career in Sport. I’ve applied (and been accepted) to several universities to study Sports Management and Coaching in 2027. I’m having a gap year - working, gaining new experiences, saving money, and hope to travel too (I’d love to climb the Dolomites) and make lots of memories before I officially start my career.
I would love to get a degree apprenticeship as it sounds perfect for someone who likes working alongside learning and my dream would be to work in a football club or somewhere like the FA.
I did the Chelmsford Half in 2025 in just under 1 hour 30, and suddenly loved to run.
So then a last minute space unexpectedly came up for this charity and I took it, as it's something I couldn't say no to!
I’m excited - the training is going well and the experience in London is going to be incredible.
Thanks for reading my story. Please share it, donate if you can (even a pound or two will really help) and come along and cheer me and my fellow WFs on on the day.

Now, about the charity I will be raising money for:
Support Team Wilderness in the London Marathon! 🏃♀️🌿
This year, our amazing London Marathon runners are going the distance to support Wilderness Foundation UK, a charity that transforms lives through the power of nature.
Based in rural Essex, we help vulnerable children, young people and adults overcome challenges such as mental health struggles, trauma, and social isolation. Through nature-based therapy, bespoke mentoring, and environmental education, we guide individuals to rebuild confidence, resilience, and hope for the future — while learning to love and protect the natural world.
Every mile our runners complete helps someone take their first step toward healing. From wilderness therapy programmes like TurnAround and Out There, to environmental education and climate change workshops with school children across Essex, your support will help the charity reach thousands of people each year.
🌱 By donating, you’ll help:
-
A young person struggling with anxiety or disadvantage find peace and purpose in nature
-
Children connect with the outdoors, often for the first time
-
Protect and restore vital wild spaces across Essex
Together, we can inspire the next generation, transform lives, and connect people to the natural world for the benefit of their mental wellbeing.
Support our runners. Support nature. Support change. 💚
