My Story
I’m running the London Marathon to raise money for The Fire Fighters Charity because, as a currently serving firefighter in the London Fire Brigade, I’ve seen first-hand the vital support they provide to our community. The charity offers specialist physical and mental health support, rehabilitation, counselling, and wellbeing services to firefighters and their families when they need it most. I’ve watched colleagues at my own station rely on that support during difficult times, and it really highlighted how important that lifeline is in such a demanding job. Being able to raise money for a charity that directly supports the people I work alongside — both on and off the run — makes taking on the marathon even more meaningful.
