My Story

I am raising money for Cosmic because they saved my life. I was born at 26 weeks and weighed 860 grams (under 2 lb). I spent the next three months of my life in hospital, recieving life saving care from the dedicated team of doctors and nurses until I was ready to go home. Growing up, my parents always told me just how amazing the team was and how grateful they are for everything they did and how above and beyond they went to make such a traumatic time that bit easier. When I got my place to run in London Marathon it was an easy decison to fundraise for Cosmic. The support they provide for the neonatal and children's intensive care units at St Mary's and Queen Charlotte's Hospital is so important and helps save lives, as well as providing much needed support for families. Without the care I recieved I wouldn't be alive, let alone running a marathon!

Anything you could donate would be absolutely amazing and so appreciated.

Thank you

Georgia :)

About us

The London Marathon has become an annual, inspiring and colourful fixture in the world’s sporting calendar since the inaugural race on 29 March 1981: a celebration of fun, fundraising and fancy dress.

Over the years more than a million people have completed the 26.2-mile course – which runs from Blackheath to The Mall, with a spectacular finish in front of Buckingham Palace, showcasing the very best that the capital city has to offer.

What’s more, these participants have raised over a billion pounds for charity and there have been countless amazing tales of human achievement throughout the event’s history – living up to its aim of helping participants ‘to have fun, and provide some happiness and sense of achievement in a troubled world’.
