My Story

In April 2026, I’ll be running the London Marathon in memory of our very dear friend, Harriet.

This run is very close to my heart. Three years ago in March, Harriet passed away very suddenly and unexpectedly. At the time, a close group of us were living together with Haz, and it was a deeply sad and difficult period for everyone who knew and loved her – of which there were so many!

Harriet was a natural runner and a very talented sportswoman. Her love of running inspired many of us to take it up ourselves. Since losing Haz, running has personally given me something to focus on, and I always think of her when I head out on a run.

Harriet was truly the best of us all. She was deeply kind, funny, silly and full of love for life. She brought so much joy to everyone around her, and her light continues to brighten up our lives. Running my first marathon, taking on the mantle from Haz's brilliant dad, Francis – who smashed the same race in her memory last year – feels very special.

Why Women in Sport?

We’ve been raising money for Women in Sport in Harriet’s memory since 2023, and I'm happy to continue supporting this special charity.

Sport and exercise were a huge part of who Harriet was. Through this challenge we want her legacy to continue, helping others experience the same joy that sport gave her.

The benefits of sport go far beyond the physical. It builds resilience, supports mental wellbeing, and creates a sense of belonging. Yet too many girls drop out of sport early or never have the opportunity to take part at all. By supporting this cause, we hope to honour Harriet’s memory while helping to open doors for others.

Every donation means a lot, thank you so much for your support :)

This one's for Haz ❤️
