My Story

I'm running the London Marathon in 2026 to raise money for Maggie’s Lanarkshire, a charity that provides vital support to people affected by cancer, as well as their families and carers.

Maggie’s offers free practical and emotional support at an incredibly difficult time. For many, Maggie’s becomes an essential part of their cancer journey.

Through my role on the Monklands Replacement Project in Lanarkshire, Maggie’s is one of our strategic partners and we are working together to deliver a new Maggie’s centre on the future hospital site. That new building will be funded separately through the Scottish Government capital programme.

The money I am raising through this marathon will go directly towards supporting the ongoing running of the existing Maggie’s Lanarkshire centre, helping ensure these vital services continue to be available for those who need them now.
