My Story

In 2018 our second baby, Maisie, was born. But after 6 wonderful months with Maisie, she was diagnosed with mitochondrial disease, and passed away only 2 weeks later.

Children's Hospice South West have been a constant support to our family ever since - and it's wonderful to have the opportunity to give something back.

When Maisie died I promised her I would make the most of my life in her memory - and I don't think I would ever have had the strength to run a marathon if it wasn't for her.

Since Maisie died, I have met so many incredible families who have lost their beautiful children - and during the marathon I will be running to remember them too.
