My Story

Great Ormond Street Hospital is a charity very close to my heart and is the reason my sister is here with me today.

From a very young age, my sister was diagnosed with a Wilms’ tumour at just three months old. It wasn’t easy for anyone in my family, and especially not for my sister, having to deal with something so serious at such a young age — something no child deserves.

Yet I am incredibly grateful to God and to the amazing work of everyone at Great Ormond Street Hospital for ensuring that my sister is healthy today and was able to defeat cancer.

I can only imagine the other families who may be in the same situation, and I feel it is only right that I show my support and appreciation for this hospital as it continues to do its best for children who need help.

I’m going to smash this marathon for my sister, my family, and for all children facing difficult circumstances — and I want to help them.
